Who can sign up for iMarS?

Operator companies, survey companies, and individual surveyors.

Is iMarS free to register?

iMarS (imarinesurvey.com and iMarS mobile apps) is free of charge to sign up and register. There are no sign up fees or monthly fees for using iMarS platform.

How does iMarS charge Surveyor Companies and Surveyors?

For survey jobs that are completed and invoiced, iMarS charges 20% of the actual amount received from the operator companies, and the remaining funds are accumulated in the surveyor company’s and individual surveyors’ account balance.

How does Operator Companies Transfer Funds to iMarS?

iMarS will receive wire transfers from operator companies on behalf of you.

How does iMarS transfer funds to Surveyor Companies and Surveyors?

Surveyor Companies and individual surveyors select their payment method in their account. For USA, ACH payment is the only method, and there is no transfer fee. For other countries, PayPal and/or Wire transfer are the methods available. There is no transfer fees for PayPal but there may be additional PayPal fees in the country you reside when you transfer funds from your PayPal account to your personal/business bank account. For wire transfer method, there is an early withdrawal fee for balances less than $2000, and no fees for balances of $2000 or more.

How frequently can I request payments?

You can request a payment anytime when you have funds available in your account balance.

When does my Account Balance reflect the funds from a survey?

The funds for a survey is reflected in your account after the operator company transfers the funds for the survey to iMarS and iMarS marks the survey as paid in the system. Until then, the survey will be listed in your pending payment surveys tab.

When are the invoices due?

Invoices are generated after the report is accepted by the operator or three days after the report is submitted. The invoices are due one month after the invoice is issued.

What happens if Operator Company does not pay the invoice for my survey?

iMarS will send reminders to the operator company on behalf of you to collect overdue payments. iMarS can take action and deactivate the account of operator companies until the overdue payments are paid to protect surveyors.
